Paywall Analytics & Insights: One Place for the Data
See conversion, trials, and net proceeds for every paywall, offer, and experiment in one dashboard so growth teams can decide what to test next with confidence.
All your paywall data in one place. See conversion, trials, and net proceeds for every paywall, offer, and experiment so you can decide what to test next. Your paywall data shouldn't live in five tools — Superwall gives growth teams one dashboard for conversion, trials, and net proceeds.
Why it matters
Growth teams keep asking for the same thing: an air-traffic-control view of monetization. Today that view is fragmented — conversion in one dashboard, revenue in another, experiment results in a spreadsheet someone updates by hand. By the time the numbers are reconciled, the test is old and the decision is late.
Paywall analytics is a top customer demand signal, and it pairs with the things teams care about most: running better paywall experiments, recovering missed revenue, and raising ARPU. None of that works without trustworthy data in one place. The point of analytics here isn't more charts — it's faster, more confident decisions about what to change next.
What you can do with Superwall
See paywall performance in one dashboard. The Charts area covers revenue, subscriptions, paywalls, users, and retention — including Paywall Conversion (the percent of users who convert after opening a paywall) and Trial Conversion.
Look at net revenue, not vanity metrics. The Proceeds chart shows revenue after refunds, store fees, and taxes — your grounded revenue view rather than top-line sales.
Break the data down the way you think. Filter and break down charts by placement, product, country, or renewal type — for example, breaking Proceeds down by placement to tie a feature you paywalled directly to revenue.
Compare paywalls head to head. Experiment results show each paywall side by side across proceeds, users, and conversion, with graphs that default to proceeds per user.
Know if a winner is real. Confidence intervals on each metric show how a paywall is performing against the others, so you can tell signal from noise.
Understand intent, not just outcomes. Demand Score insights show conversion rate and volume by likelihood-to-convert bucket, surfacing the high-volume, low-conversion segments worth testing.
Take the data anywhere. Export any chart to CSV, and forward Superwall events to your own analytics service.
How it works
- Track revenue. Set up revenue tracking so revenue-based metrics populate across charts and experiments.
- Watch the charts. Use the Charts dashboard to monitor paywall conversion, trial conversion, and proceeds, then apply filters, breakdowns, and time ranges to focus on what matters.
- Read experiment results. Open the Results tab on any campaign to see the Paywalls, Placements, and Graphs sections, with proceeds per user and confidence intervals.
- Cohort in your own tools. Experiment, variant, and paywall IDs are exposed in the results so you can cohort the same users in third-party analytics.
Subscription lifecycle events such as renewals and cancellations are matched back to the paywall that drove the conversion using identifiers provided at checkout and via webhook events — so downstream revenue stays attributed to the right paywall.
Proof from customers
In our customer research, paywall analytics and insights came up across a quarter of analyzed calls. The recurring ask is an "air traffic control" view — everything considered as a whole — instead of fragmented data spread across main paywalls, discounts, web, and app. Teams want one place to compare paywall and offer performance and understand which variant actually won. Superwall's charts, breakdowns, and experiment results are built around exactly that job.
